SEND Introduction

The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 – 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND).

This is known as the Local Offer. Further information about the Gateshead Local Offer can be found on the Gateshead Council Local Offer home page.

School Ethos and approach

Falla Park is a maintained mainstream school for children from the ages of 3 to 11.  We believe everyone should be supported to reach their full potential, enjoy their learning and develop the skills they need to be successful and independent in their life. We provide a high quality, creative, personalised education for all children, who are all different, yet equal. We support children to reach their true potential in a safe and enjoyable environment where they can be proud of their achievements.

The school caters for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities through in class quality first teaching and through additional 1:1 or small group sessions.
