The whistle is blown five minutes before the beginning of each session and children are expected to be in the yard at this time. The time spent on teaching in the normal school week, excluding assemblies, registration and breaks, is 22 hours for Key Stage 1 and 24½ hours for Key Stage 2. This is in line with the recommendations of the Department for Education. To enable us to adhere to these times it is essential that children arrive at school at the proper time.
Assemblies
Children have assemblies in their classroom with their class teachers at the end of each day. On a Friday there is a whole school celebration assembly at 2.40pm.
