Elf on a Shelf
Elfy came to visit us in December. We read his book and gave him a name. He stayed in our nursery until the end of the term. Each day he found a new place to hide and we had to find him.
He was in the tree…
Some christmas activities…
Christmas is Coming
We decorated the Christmas tree in the first week of December.
Funky Fingers Activities
Every day we take part in a Funky Fingers activity. Lots of small movement activities for Physical Development.
Numbers and Counting
We have been using the glass pebbles to help with our counting and number recognition.
Recycled Material Steps
Year 6 children came to help in the nursery. They helped us to make our recycled material steps. We used old tyres to make the steps and filled them with some pebbles.
We used the rollers and the glue to make patterns on the paper. Then we sprinkled sand over the glue to make some fantastic sand collage art.
Look what we found under the Big Old Tree.
Turned into a pumpkin
Making our own play dough
Learning to brush our teeth with Chomps
Lots of children were pretending to make soup in the sand area and in the Mud Kitchen. Alice was even writing her own recipes in the home corner. We read her recipe to make some potato and carrot soup.
Show and Tell
Photographs from home
We brought photographs from home to show the other children. We did lots of talking activities with the photographs.
Our toys for windy days are so much fun
