That History Bloke
We were fortunate to be visited by ‘That History Bloke’ who came to class dressed as an Egyptian and told us all about life in Ancient Egyptian times. We learned how to embalm a body and write like a scribe! It was a great day and we even met Pharaoh Morgan the First and she was very bossy!
Roots of Empathy
Our class is lucky to be taking part in the Roots of Empathy program. Every three weeks the class learn about a new theme to do with babies and we are visited by a little baby and its mam. Through this we learn how to care for one another and about safety and respect.
We had a special visit from the people at Hoopstarz and we all learned how to hula hoop and do a range of tricks. Mr Swan even won the teacher competition even though he had never managed to hoopla before today! We all had a lot of fun and it is a great form of exercise.
We learned about a Japanese style of poetry called Haikus. We used the bricks on the wall outside to help us with the 5,7,5 syllable pattern.
