To bring together the learning within our Geography topic we visited St Mary’s lighthouse in Tynemouth. During the visit we became scientists and looked for sealife in rock pools using a key to identify them. One group were very excited when they found a huge crab! We found out about the role of a lighthouse keeper when we climbed all 137 steps to the top of the lighthouse. To finish the day off we created our own sand art images. A fabulous day!!
