Chetna taught our year 2 children how to use Bindhi to create an outline of their picture.
Our Year 6 used sand to create Rangoli patterns. Rangoli patterns are used to decorate and welcome guests into the home.
Our Year 5 children created their own handkerchiefs using fabric paint which is a style of art that is taught at Chetna’s school in India.
Year 1 learnt all about the Holi Festival and got to throw powder paint over Mrs Rowan when joining in the celebrations! They got to try Indian food!
We made a present for Chetna to take back to her school. Key Stage 1 decorated the map using handprints and Key Stage 2 signed their names. Reception created the people and they said they wanted “The English and Indian people to be holding hands together!”
